Description: This steam-cylinder oil is a mineral oil of a high quality and contains no extra additives. Due to the choice of high quality base oils, this oil has the following properties:

  • a very good protection against oxidation
  • little tendency of forming a carbon-like deposit
  • a good natural viscosity index
  • a good protection against corrosion
  • good anti-wear properties
  • a slight tendency to emulsify
  • a high flash point
Application: This oil can be used for lubrication of cylinders and valves in steam engines, which work with overheated and saturated steam. In addition to steam-cylinder applications, this oil may also be used to lubricate some vacuum pumps with high operating temperatures and as a lubricant in low speed gears.
